Gifts of Gratitude 2021

Knowing that gratitude can be the best medicine for body and soul, McKenna Claire Foundation is kicking off the holiday season by offering the opportunity to show your thanks to someone who makes a difference in your life and help support life-saving pediatric cancer research through our “Gifts of Gratitude” campaign.

In these trying times, what better way to honor those closest to you than by gifting a donation to McKenna Claire Foundation in their name and giving children fighting brain cancer HOPE for a brighter future.

It’s easy…from December 1st – December 31st make a donation in honor of the person/people you are grateful for. Under notes on the donation form, let that person know why they are important to you and MCF will send your sentiments along with a letter letting them know they have been the recipient of a Gift of Gratitude.

Along the way, we will be updating you on the difference your gifts are making in the labs of our researchers and to the family’s affected. Two gifts for the price of one – the gift of Gratitude to the people closest to you and the gift of HOPE to children and families fighting this devastating disease.

An amazing community of friends and partners will be gathering on Friday, November 19th for the 6th Annual McKenna Claire Foundation (MCF) Charity Poker Tournament.   This year’s “Poker At The Museum” will be held at the Westside Museum in Costa Mesa .  This remarkable mid-century, bi-level building is a unique location with plenty of space to play poker, enjoy the company of friends, shuffle board, billiards, ping pong, music and so much more.  Whether you are a “Poker At The Museum” player, sponsor, or guest simply enjoying this amazing space, it promises be a great start to the Thanksgiving Holiday week.   

Prizes will be awarded to the top players, as well as a light dinner is included for all registered players and guests. Cash Bars will be available all night.

Cost:

$100 Per Player – includes light dinner

$30 Per Non Playing Guest – includes light dinner

We recommend using UBER, Lyft, or carpooling to the event, there will be limited amount of complimentary valet parking available at the venue.

The 2021 McKenna Claire Foundation / Chevron Butterfly Tour is coming to a corporate owned and operated Chevron station near you!

For the tenth year in a row, the patrons of participating Chevron stations will be given the opportunity to purchase the McKenna Claire Foundation’s butterfly (originally drawn by McKenna).

From August 1st – August 31st, MCF butterflies will be available for a $1 or $5 donation. With your help, McKenna’s butterflies will not only shine a light on pediatric cancer, but fund the much needed research that children and families so desperately need.

To date, the patrons of Chevron have helped raise nearly $2,600,000 to the benefit of pediatric brain cancer research.  Please consider visiting a participating Chevron and purchasing an MCF butterfly.  Don’t forget to thank the Chevron staff for being champions of the McKenna Claire Foundation and pediatric brain cancer research!  Scroll below to find a participating station near you or download a PDF list.

With the background of the Pacific Ocean and a September sunset this year’s 11th Annual McKenna Claire Foundation Party With A Purpose (MCF) – Boots & Butterflies was a magical evening, reconnecting the amazing community that surrounds MCF.

Thank you to everyone for your generous support of this year’s event and cutting edge pediatric brain cancer research. With guests joining us both in person and participating remotely, we are excited to share that over $155,000 was raised by the MCF community and passionate MCF Party With A Purpose sponsors. In partnership with the Four Sons Brewery, the Mckenna Claire Foundation (MCF) is excited to host the MCF Brews & Butterflies, Wednesday, October 28th at 6:30pm.  Building on the always fun MCF Wine & Shine get togethers, we’d love for you to join us for our first brew themed virtual event.   This is a locals only, 21 & over event.  We are unable to ship for out of town guests.

Highlighting Huntington Beach’s Four Sons beers and new foray into cocktails (something for everyone), we’ll hear from Duke and the family about the Four Sons story and brews, tasting 6 different offerings (12 cans per ticket purchase).  Following our sampling, stick around for LIVE music and fun with friends.
