Chevron and Their Patrons Raise over $363,0000 to Fight Pediatric Brain Cancer
The McKenna Claire Foundation is grateful to the Chevron Corporation, its clients, customers and communities, all of whom supported the McKenna Claire Foundation campaign held in corporate owned and operated stores in May. In its second year, this program raised a grand total of $363,638.16 to help fund much needed research in the field of pediatric brain cancer. We, along with friends and family, tried to visit as many stores as possible in California on what has now been dubbed “The Butterfly Tour”. We were touched by the compassion and empathy shown to us by station managers, workers, and customers. They took our story to heart and embraced us as part of their community, and in doing so became real advocates for the cause. Just as it takes a village to raise a child, it will take a community to cure a those children fighting against this monster called cancer. Thank you, Chevron, for willing to be an active part of this community and for playing a vital role in finding a cure.
