Join us on Zoom Thursday, November 19th at 6:00pm as we spend a third evening virtually tasting wines curated by the Hill family.  All wines were selected to go with the upcoming holiday season. For the discounted price of $100 (includes taxes and local wine distribution) guests will receive 3 bottles of wine from Hill Family Estate.  Additional fees apply for those who need wines shipped out of the local area.

In partnership with the Four Sons Brewery, the Mckenna Claire Foundation (MCF) is excited to host the MCF Brews & Butterflies, Wednesday, October 28th at 6:30pm.  Building on the always fun MCF Wine & Shine get togethers, we’d love for you to join us for our first brew themed virtual event.   This is a locals only, 21 & over event.  We are unable to ship for out of town guests.

Highlighting Huntington Beach’s Four Sons beers and new foray into cocktails (something for everyone), we’ll hear from Duke and the family about the Four Sons story and brews, tasting 6 different offerings (12 cans per ticket purchase).  Following our sampling, stick around for LIVE music and fun with friends.

The 2020 McKenna Claire Foundation / Chevron Butterfly Tour is coming to a corporate owned and operated Chevron station near you!

For the seventh year in a row, the patrons of participating Chevron stations will be given the opportunity to purchase the McKenna Claire Foundation’s butterfly (originally drawn by McKenna).

From July 1st – July 31st, MCF butterflies will be available for a $1 or $5 donation. With your help, McKenna’s butterflies will not only shine a light on pediatric cancer, but fund the much needed research that children and families so desperately need.

To date, the patrons of Chevron have helped raise nearly $2,400,000 to the benefit of pediatric brain cancer research.  Please consider visiting a participating Chevron and purchasing an MCF butterfly.  Don’t forget to thank the Chevron staff for being champions of the McKenna Claire Foundation and pediatric brain cancer research!  Scroll below to find a participating station near you or download a PDF list.

10th Annual Party With A Purpose

The Covid Cowboy hog-tied a lot of our plans this year, but Boots and Butterflies was not something he could lasso that easily!

MCF’s 10th Annual Party With a Purpose will ride live via Zoom on Saturday, August 29th at 6:30pm. Gather your posse around your biggest screen and experience all the fun you’ve come to associate with PWP – costumes, silent auction, updates from our researchers, live band and more! And going remote means seats aren’t limited, allowing more of our supporters to join this previously sold out event.

An amazing community of friends and partners will be gathering on Friday, November 22nd for the 5th Annual McKenna Claire Foundation (MCF) Charity Poker Tournament.   This year’s “Poker At The Museum” will be held at the Westside Museum in Costa Mesa .  This remarkable mid-century, bi-level building is a unique location with plenty of space to play poker, enjoy the company of friends, shuffle board, billiards, ping pong, music and so much more.  Whether you are a “Poker At The Museum” player, sponsor, or guest simply enjoying this amazing space, it promises be a great start to the Thanksgiving Holiday week.   

Prizes will be awarded to the top players, as well as a light dinner is included for all registered players and guests. Cash Bars will be available all night.

Cost:

$100 Per Player – includes light dinner

$20 Per Non Playing Guest – includes light dinner

We recommend using UBER, Lyft, or carpooling to the event, there will be limited amount of complimentary valet parking available at the venue.

McKenna and her friends loved to hold lemonade stands on our street corner to raise money for various causes they believed in.   To celebrate McKenna’s birthday (August 5th) and pay forward that sense of community, we are inviting kids near and far to hold their own stands in support of pediatric brain cancer research.   The simple act of kids pouring their hearts into a cause is not only fun, but shows our youth that they have the power to change the world one glass of lemonade at a time.

To date, the kids of Stand Up & Shine have raised over 120,000 for pediatric brain cancer research.

Knowing summer is filled with family adventure, camps, and commitments, we invite this years MCF Stand Up and Shine kids to hold their lemonade stands as their schedules permit any time in August.   We can’t wait to see the energy and creativity of this years participants.   Thank you for choosing to be part of the pediatric brain cancer solution.
